Welcome to XtractGenie. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and your rights when using the XtractGenie mobile application and related services.

By using XtractGenie, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use XtractGenie, we may collect the following information:

Account Information

When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we may collect:

  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Google Account Identifier
  • Profile Picture (if available)

We use this information only to authenticate you and create your account.

Business Card Information

When you scan or upload business cards, we may collect:

  • Business card images
  • Extracted text
  • Name
  • Company Name
  • Job Title
  • Phone Number
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Website
  • Address
  • Notes added by you

The extracted information is used to organize and manage your scanned business contacts. Except for captured business card images, XtractGenie does not store any extracted business card information on its servers. All extracted business card information is stored directly in a dedicated Google Sheet within your linked Google account. We only store capture business card image so that we can provide it as part of your data which you can refer to at later stage.

Device Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device Model
  • Android Version
  • Application Version
  • Device Identifier
  • Crash Reports
  • Diagnostic Information

This information helps us improve application stability and performance.

Usage Information

We may collect anonymous usage information such as:

  • Features used
  • Session duration
  • Performance statistics
  • Error logs

This information is used only to improve the quality of our services.

2. Google Sign-In

XtractGenie uses Google Sign-In for secure user authentication.

When you sign in using Google, we may receive:

  • Your Name
  • Email Address
  • Profile Picture (if available)

We never receive, store, or access your Google password.

Google authentication is used solely to:

  • Verify your identity
  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide personalized services

3. Google Sheets Integration

XtractGenie integrates with the Google Sheets API to store extracted business card information.

The application only performs the following actions:

  • Creates a dedicated Google Sheet in your linked Google Drive.
  • Adds extracted business card details into the spreadsheet.
  • Updates records created by the application when necessary.

XtractGenie DOES NOT:

  • Read, access, or modify any of your existing Google Sheets or any other files stored in your Google Drive, except the Google Sheet created and managed by XtractGenie.
  • Access any other spreadsheets in your Google Drive.
  • Modify spreadsheets not created or used by XtractGenie.
  • Access Google Drive documents, files, photos, emails, or other Google services.
  • XtractGenie requests only the minimum Google API permissions required to create and update the dedicated Google Sheet used by the application.

The Google Sheets permission is used solely for storing extracted business card information generated by the application.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate your account.
  • Scan business cards.
  • Save extracted details into Google Sheets.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Detect abuse or fraudulent activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Permissions Used

XtractGenie requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality.

Camera

Used to capture business card images.

Photos / Storage

Used to upload existing business card images.

Internet

Used for authentication, OCR processing, and Google Sheets synchronization.

Google Account Access

Used only for Google Sign-In and creating/updating the Google Sheet used by XtractGenie.
No other Google account information is accessed.

6. Data Storage

Business card information extracted by XtractGenie is stored directly in a dedicated Google Sheet within the user's linked Google account.

XtractGenie does not store the following extracted business card information:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Designation
  • Phone Number
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Website
  • Address
  • Scan Date

Business card images are processed for text extraction. The captured images are securely stored by XtractGenie so they can be referenced and shared alongside the extracted business card information.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Information is shared only:

  • With Google services necessary for Google Sign-In and Google Sheets integration.
  • When required by applicable law.
  • To protect the security and integrity of our services.

We never access or share any unrelated files from your Google account.

8. Third-Party Services

XtractGenie uses trusted third-party services including:

  • Google Sign-In
  • Google Sheets API
  • Google Play Services

These services are governed by their own privacy policies.

9. Data Retention

Your information is retained only as long as necessary to provide our services.

If you request deletion of your account:

  • Your account information will be deleted.
  • Business card images stored by XtractGenie will be removed.
  • Your account information and business card images stored on our servers will be permanently deleted immediately after your account deletion request is processed.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

  • Secure HTTPS communication
  • Encrypted transmission
  • Secure authentication
  • Access control
  • Security monitoring

Although we strive to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your information.
  • Update your information.
  • Delete scanned business cards.
  • Delete your account.

12. Children's Privacy

XtractGenie is a business productivity application intended for professional users. It is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that such information has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Continued use of XtractGenie after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Data Storage Policy

Secure Storage

The application only creates and updates the spreadsheet used for storing scanned business card information.

The application does not read, modify, or access any other spreadsheets, Google Drive files, emails, photos, or documents belonging to the user.

Stored Information

The following information may be stored:

  • Captured business card images (so that it can be provided to you inside your google sheet against each card)

Data Protection

We protect your information using:

  • HTTPS encryption
  • Secure authentication
  • Access controls
  • Regular monitoring

Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated business card information.
Upon deletion of your account, all account information and business card images stored by XtractGenie will be permanently deleted from our servers. Business card information already stored in your linked Google Sheet will remain in your Google account and will not be deleted by XtractGenie.

Acceptance

By using XtractGenie, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the application lawfully.
  • Upload only business cards that you are authorized to scan.
  • Keep your Google account credentials secure.
  • Not misuse the application.

Google Account Access

The Google account permission is used only for:

  • Google authentication.
  • Creating and updating the Google Sheet used by XtractGenie.

The application never reads unrelated Google Drive content.

Intellectual Property

All application content, trademarks, logos, software, and designs are the property of XtractGenie unless otherwise stated.

Limitation of Liability

XtractGenie is provided "as is."

We are not liable for:

  • OCR inaccuracies.
  • Temporary service interruptions.
  • Loss caused by third-party services.
  • Unauthorized account access caused by user negligence.

Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the application.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which XtractGenie operates.
